ABOUT SANDRA-MARIE

After completing her professional dog trainer course with Best Friends Dog Training in Ottawa, Sandra-Marie truly saw her passion take flight as a professional in the canine world. Behavioral disorders particularly attract her and it is from teachers such as Chirag Patel, Dr Joël Dehasse, Dre Suzanne Lecompte, Dr Simon Gadbois and Simonne Raffa that she learned the principles of canine behaviour and behavioral counseling. She also studied with Malena DeMartini and obtained her Certificate in Separation Anxiety Training (CSAT). Since then, this specialization has occupied the vast majority of her interventions.

The other facet of her passion – the practical application of training, particularly through teaching – led Sandra-Marie to set up a school in the Outaouais region with 3 learning centers offering teaching from kindergarten to advanced obedience, through specialization sports such as odor detection and rally obedience.

Sandra-Marie is a member of various professional organizations such as the Regroupement Québécois des Intervenants en Éducation Canine (RQIEC), the Professional Association of Behavioralists Practitioners (APCP), the Pet Professional Guild (PPG) and the Canadian Association of Professional Dog Trainers ( CAPDT). Involved with service dogs via Les Chiens Togo and Wounded Warriors Canada, Sandra-Marie also participates in several canine competitions each year, thus benefiting from her knowledge of canine behaviour, education and training with her own dogs, which are decorated with multiple titles.
